Once we’ve established a date and time, we’ll work together to get the word out and work through any planning issues.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will you host any organization? We primarily host our community schools and school-related organizations. Other community support organizations may be considered. We will not host political or activist organizations regardless of non-profit status.
How much can we make on an event? We’ll donate 15% of pre-tax/pre-tip affiliated sales to the organization. “Affiliated” sales are those that occur during the scheduled event time in which the guest identifies themselves and their party as part of the event by a flyer or verbally. We’ll add “Spirit Night” to the ticket and keep a copy of the receipt. After the event, we’ll add up the sales and cut a check to the organization.
How many people do we have to have? Generally, at least 200 individual guests. We’ll ask for an estimate of how many you expect to attend and temper that with past experiences with other organizations to determine how best to support an event. If the event falls significantly short on attendance, we reserve the right to deduct excessive costs to host the event (example: extra payroll).
When do you have events? We generally do events Tuesday-Thursdays 5-8pm in the Spring and Fall.
What is a non-profit tax ID number? It’s the number your organization gets that identifies it as a recognized non-profit organization. It’s sometimes referred to as the organization’s tax ID number or 501C3 number. It is not VA’s ST-10 “sales tax exempt” number. Organizations must provide this number before being added to the schedule.
Other activities during the event? We occasionally host other small businesses during our events that add to the experience such as face-painters. These businesses operate independently and are not part of the event per se. Participation with their activities is voluntary.
